In March 2010 CLC launched a two-stage process for the sale of lots for residential development at the Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre project.

Unique 24 acre (9,6 ha) site located on historic Lachine Canal, within walking distance of downtown Montréal. Zoning in place for mixed use development including seven lots for urban residential development (approx. 1600 units).

Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC) is preparing to carry out infrastructure work on its Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre project and invites consultants specialized in municipal infrastructure design and construction to  participate in this Pre-Qualification Request. Through this two-step process, CLC will ultimately select a firm of specialists who will be mandated with the design of Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre project infrastructure, and the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of this infrastructure.
 

On August 25, Montréal’s City Council approved the zoning amendment and development accord authorizing the Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre real estate project, developed by Canada Lands Company (CLC).

When completed, Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre will include a total investment (private and public) of $760 million, with 325,000 square feet of offices, workspaces, and neighbourhood retail, plus approximately 2,000 residential units in various styles. September 4, 2009 -Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC) today announced its project "Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre" now can take yet another step forward following the recent key approvals received from Montréal City Council.

August 25, 2009 - Canada Lands Company announced today that Montréal City Council has approved the zoning amendment and development accord authorizing the Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre real estate project.  This mixed use development will include housing, neighbourhood retail, green and recreational areas, as well as workspaces.

August 20, 2009 – Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC) today announced that its "Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre" project in Montréal has taken another step forward.
 

This Information Letter provides an update on the Office de consultation publique de Montréal report on the project and announces the start of the deconstruction of the building located at 1500 Ottawa Street in mid-June.  The deconstruction, which will take twelve months, will be completed with sustainable development principles.  The Information Letter also provides highlights on the participatory process followed by Canada Lands Company and the Master Plan proposed for the site.

On June 3rd, the OCPM made its report on the Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre project public. This document can be consulted on the OCPM web site: www.ocpm.qc.ca.

On February 17, 18 and 19 Canada Lands Company presented its master plan for the project Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre as part of a public consultation process held by the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM). The public consultation process began with a general presentation of the project, which was followed by two workshops and question periods. The first of these workshops focused on sustainable design in an urban setting, the second, on the integration of the proposed development plan within its surroundings.

In anticipation of the redevelopment of the property located at 1500 Ottawa Street, Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC) is proceeding with the deconstruction of the former mail processing building on the site.

On February 17, 18 and 19, the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) held information and question period sessions concerning our project, Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre. This first step in the consultation process will be followed by another session on March 10, during which the public and stakeholders are invited to present briefs. The final signup date to submit briefs is March 5.

The Office de consultation publique de Montréal recently announced that the public consultation on Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre will commence on February 17th. This is an opportunity for everyone to learn about this project, the modifications to the zoning regulation, and to express your opinions to the OCPM.
