- Housing: With plans for approximately 2,000 residential units with varying styles, Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre will meet the needs of many types of households.
Plans include:
- 1,400 home ownership units at market price with one-quarter larger units for families
- 400 non-profit community housing units, half of which will be built to accommodate families with children.
- 200 affordable private units, half of which will be built to accommodate families with children.
- Businesses and places of employment: 300,000 ft2 of business, retail and recreo-touristic functions.
- Green spaces and recreational areas: Nearly 20% of the total site area will be dedicated to green and recreational areas. Specific uses will be determined by CLC in collaboration with the City of Montréal Sud-Ouest Borough.
- Basins: Filled in the 1960s, the basins will be recreated and reintegrated into the redevelopment of the site with portions used for recreational purposes. Specific uses are yet to be defined.
- Sustainable Development: CLC will seek an appropriate sustainable development designation for this project.
